Arnemancy will be at Crush Bar reading Tarot during brunch! Come on down and visit Reverend Erik. Many of you get quick readings at our busy public appearances and want to know how to get a full reading. Ten of CupsThe Card of the Week is none other than the Ten of Cups. Look at this card! It is one of the happiest in the deck. Ten magical cups float along a rainbow. It gleams in the sky. A happy family celebrates below, looking across a field with a winding stream and a cozy house.

The Best Future

After two weeks of tough cards, this amazing Tarot vision is a nice shift. The Ten of Cups is about a happy, content moment. Emotions are at rest, happiness has been found. It is “also perfection of human love and friendship,” according to Waite,1 and I agree.

This card is interesting to read when it shows up in a negative position. It can relate to false hope, to misleading emotions, and to the illusion of happiness. Sometimes we like to base our happiness on things that aren’t real. This card can argue against that. However, this week, it’s a happy card. Be joyous! Love your neighbors! Be yourself and be content.

For a far more introspective and philosophical perspective on this card, check out Shelley Ruelle’s post on Sparrot Tarot.

Card of the Week: The Devil

XV. The DevilThe Card of the Week this week is a very special one. The Devil is the 16th of the Greater Trumps and the most unsettling of Tarot cards. I’ve chosen to use the Sacred Rose Tarot by Johanna Gargiulo-Sherman this week. I recently acquired this deck and have quickly grown to love it. The imagery is intense and has a classic Rider-Waite feel with its own little twists.

Card of the Week: Eight of Cups

Eight of CupsI know it’s late, but it’s still the Card of the Week: the Eight of Cups. This card depicts a figure walking uphill away from a stack of cups. Overhead, the Man in the Moon watches on, but he doesn’t wear a happy face.  It’s night time, and water runs all around. In the distance, more rugged mountains can be seen.
